Redmi has released an Android 13-based MIUI 14 update for one of its models to enhance user experience. The affordable Redmi 10C will start receiving the MIUI 14 package by the end of June. The update will bring new features, improved battery life, and enhanced security to the entry-level to mid-range device.
Android 13-based MIUI 14 update is on the way for Redmi 10C
Redmi 10C users will receive a revamped interface from Xiaomi with the MIUI 14 update. The update also introduces new animations for smoother navigation. This version promises an increase in managing background applications, which reduces battery consumption.
According to the official MIUI server, the Redmi 10C MIUI 14 update will come with Android 13. This means that the affordable model released last year will receive a new Android version. The build version appears to be MIUI-V14.0.2.0.TGEMIXM, indicating that the update is in its final stages and will be rolled out in June.
Redmi 10C was introduced last year in March and comes in three different color options: blue and green. The model is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor with Kyro 265 cores.
Xiaomi MIUI 14 Features
The company claims that system performance has significantly improved with Android 13 and MIUI 14. System fluidity has increased by 88%, while power consumption has been reduced by 16%. Despite the improved system performance, Xiaomi’s data shows that MIUI 14 occupies 23% less space compared to the previous version.
This result is achieved by reworking and rebuilding the MIUI interface. The new MIUI 14 is not only faster than previous versions but also more stable and occupies less space. However, it is worth noting that the optimizations are focused on Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 8 Gen 1+, and the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processors.
